Have you ever looked at your shaving product to see what it contains or what the Ph level is?

Do you even know what the Ph Level is?  You really need to understand the importance of Ph as you most likely shave and/or wash your face in soap every day of your life.

Quite often we relate/classify the skin in its various conditions by the Ph Level it has i.e. where it is in the Alkaline to Acid range. The Ph level of Normal Skin has a range of 4 to 6.5, which is slightly acidic. This acidic environment for the skin is referred to as the skin's 'acid mantle'. One of the major functions of the acid mantle is to protect the skin and body from the absorption of bacteria. As bacteria cannot survive in an acidic environment, maintaining the correct level of acidity is vital.

One of the major culprits for radically changing the Ph level of the skin is the soap you use!!!  So, when clients come to our clinic an initial key question for us to ask is “What do you use to cleanse your skin?”

Some of the soaps presented to us have an equivalent alkaline level of AJAX, so would you put this on your skin?

It is vitally important to check what you are using on your skin so have a look and see if it has a Ph of 5.5 which it needs to have.
